Port Allen Lubricants Plant (PAL)

History
Constructed in 1990, the Port Allen Lubricants Plant is a modern lube blending, packaging and warehouse operation that provides products to many ExxonMobil customers throughout the world.

PAL today
The plant is staffed by approximately 45 employees and 100 contractors. More than 90 million gallons of finished products are shipped annually.

Thanks to the partnership between ExxonMobil and Earth 911, consumers can learn more about how to properly dispose of used motor oil and locate the nearest recycling facility in the area. 

End products and their uses
Receiving base oils from the Baton Rouge Refinery via pipeline, the Port Allen Lubricants Plant blends and/or packages the following products:

  • Engine oils, including the flagship products Mobil 1 and Delvac 1
  • Industrial lubricants
  • Process oils
  • Aviation Piston engine oils

Achievements and awards
PAL has been recognized by OSHA for its mature safety & health management system, employee involvement and safety injury performance being better than the industry average. The plant received the OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Safety Through Accountability Recognition (STAR) status in January 2006.
